At the foot of Vail Mountain, the Four Seasons is a contemporary, luxury hotel with strong Alpine influences. Decorated in dark rich woods and clad in limestone, the hotel oozes style, and the service is impeccable. Facilities for adults and children alike are excellent and we would strongly recommend this as a choice for your family's first foray to the States.
Rooms, suites and residences are classic 'Four Seasons' in style - lots of wood and creams with a feel of 'mountain chic'. All have fireplaces and a balcony or terrace, and residences have fully-equipped kitchens, dining areas and living rooms which are great for families wanting a homely feel.
The Flame Restaurant is chic and laid back, serving slow-cooked fine mountain fare. Or after a day on the slopes, ease into the evening at the Fireside Lounge, with its charcuterie and tapas selection, impressive wine and cocktail list. The hotel provides a good children's menu, and children under four eat for free.
For après-ski relaxation, the large heated outdoor pool invites you to go for a swim as snowflakes swirl above. Stepping out of the water, you’ll find a Four Seasons attendant ready to wrap you in a heated robe and escort you to the open-air fireplace for hot chocolate with homemade chocolate marshmallows! If winter swimming sounds too bracing, you might be better suited to the warmth of the alpine Spa with its range of revitalising massages and beauty treatments.
