Set deep in the heart of Wyoming’s famed Platte River Valley, between the Sierra Madre Mountain range and stunning Medicine Bow National Forest, The Lodge at Brush Creek Ranch is an all-inclusive ranch offering endless opportunities for adventure that makes it a haven for outdoor and nature enthusiasts. Lodgings at Brush Creek Ranch are rustic luxury, with cosy rooms in the main lodge close to all the amenities or more secluded private cabins and homes located out on granite outcroppings with sweeping views or down by meadows and streams. The more remote lodges come complete with keys to their own off-road ranger vehicles.
Adult guests looking for peace and tranquilly, especially during the busier summer months, might prefer to opt for the Magee Homestead, a private adult-only hideaway within the ranch. The nine historically restored cabins offer guests a tranquil creek-side setting in the heart of the 30,000 acre ranch, and a spa and outdoor swimming pool.
The hub of activity is around the centrepiece Trailhead Lodge with its cosy dining room, premium wine cellar and fire places, close to which you'll find the characterful Saloon Bar. When the day is done, head to the saloon for billiards, a hand or two of poker, or to kick up your heels to your favourite tunes on the jukebox.
Nearby is the stellar indoor sports and recreation centre popular with children in the evenings due to its full-sized gymnasium perfect for dodge ball, fussball, air hockey, shuffleboard and a rock climbing wall. Then there is the all important Outfitters Barn where guests sign up for their activities, get kitted out for the day's outdoor adventures and meet with their guides. There is no need to lug all of your equipment with you as staff are ready to outfit you with all the gear - from cute cowboy boots to top-of-the-range fishing equipment.
Regardless of the season, Brush Creek Ranch truly offers a vast array of adventures that cannot be beaten by any other ranch - and all are tailored to guest experience level led by an expert guide. Included are Ovis endorsed fly-fishing on miles of the North Platte River revered as some of the best freestone fishing waters in the world and several secluded fishing ponds perfect for beginners; guided hiking and superb biking trails; woodland high-ropes and zip-lining; mountain-side team paint balling for all the family; horseback riding on beautiful quarter horses and paints with experienced wranglers; as well the gun 10-station sporting clays course, 5-station skeet course and competition archery.
Guests can also try activities off-menu, like adventurous horseback riding programmes from rodeo barrel racing and cattle round-ups or pursuits such as wing shooting and working with local dog-clubs that are unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The Ranch is truly all-inclusive, including all meals and snacks, premium drinks at the saloon or when dining and whatever your heart desires from the wine cellar. It is the choice and quality of activities that are included and personal attention that has guests returning time and time again.
