Chile is a year-round destination but the most pleasant months to visit are October to April. All activities are running in the Lakes region during these months and at the beginning and end of this period, Chilean spring and autumn, a great deal of new flora and beautiful colors can be enjoyed, respectively. Warmer weather will be experienced on the coast in the summer months (December-February). The Atacama Desert can be visited during any month of the year although there is usually some substantial rainfall in February.
