The Plantation Lodge is set in wonderful coffee plantations between the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara which makes it the perfect place from which to explore this area of northern Tanzania and then retreat back to the lodge and relax in the gardens.

The Plantation Lodge rests on the red-brown hills of Karatu in Tanzania, a stone's throw from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Lake Manyara National Park. The lodge offers individually furnished rooms and suites set in the beautiful garden. In-room amenities include private bathrooms, hairdryers, toiletries, verandas/terraces, mosquito nets, tea/coffee-making facilities, and safes. Plantation Lodge is a 10-minute drive north of the market town of Karatu on the lower slopes of Ngorongoro Crater, a short drive from Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks and a stone’s throw from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Arusha Airport is the closest to The Plantation Lodge, it is a 2-3 hour drive (about 100km). Kilimanjaro is a 1 hour flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
