Day 8: Return to the Coast
Descend from the hills to the south coast, arriving at Malabar Hill in Weligama, a boutique retreat with sweeping ocean views. Spend the afternoon settling into your villa, perhaps with a swim or sunset cocktail. This evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, with the option of a private dinner overlooking the ocean.
Day 9: Sunset Cruise & Ocean Magic
Today, head to nearby Mirissa for a romantic sunset cruise. Glide across the Indian Ocean as the sky turns shades of pink and gold, perhaps spotting dolphins along the way. Return to your hotel for a relaxed evening, or we can arrange a candlelit dinner to continue the magic of the day.
Day 10: Culture, Flavours & Exploration
This morning, enjoy a kayaking adventure through tranquil waterways followed by a scenic bicycle ride through rural villages, offering a glimpse into local life. Later, travel to Galle for a unique arrack tasting experience paired with dinner at the iconic The Sun House. Return to Weligama under the stars.
Day 11: Leisure & Beachside Bliss
Your final full day is yours to enjoy entirely at leisure. Relax on the beach, unwind by the pool, or explore the coastline at your own pace. For a special farewell, we can arrange a private beach dinner – toes in the sand, waves gently lapping nearby – the perfect way to celebrate the end of your honeymoon.
Day 12: Departure After a final breakfast overlooking the ocean, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey, taking with you unforgettable memories of Sri Lanka’s beauty, adventure and romance.

From May to August the Yala monsoon brings rain to the island’s southwestern half. The southwest has the highest rainfall – up to 4000mm a year. There is also an inter-monsoonal period in October and November when rain can occur in many parts of the island. Colombo and the low-lying coastal regions have an average temperature of 27°C. The sea stays at around 27°C all year. Climatically speaking, the driest (and best) seasons in Sri Lanka are from December to March for the west and south coasts.
