Saruni Mara is tucked in a forested valley and overlooks the Mara plains in a relatively new conservancy called Mara North. People cannot self drive in the area so this is not the part of Kenya that is commercial and over run with white mini vans and tourists
It is an 8-hour 30-minute international flight to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport, then it is a 30-minute trip by road to Wilson Domestic Airport. Scheduled flights from Nairobi Wilson airport to the Mara North airstrip takes just under an hour. Once at the airstrip you will be met by your Maasai guide from Saruni Mara and taken on a game drive slowly back to the lodge.
