Set in a former aristocratic palace in the Recoleta district, Palacio Duhau is arguably the grandest hotel in Buenos Aires. Expect high ceilings, elegant décor and a regal vibe. Immerse yourself in sumptuous luxury and enjoy the unfaltering service.
Highlights
Palacio Duhau is one of Buenos Aires’ grande dame hotels and is a true stand-out property for those who relish the finer things in life
This sumptuous neoclassical palace oozes history – it holds the lingering echoes of a bygone era and has a distinct European flavour
Right in the heart of Recoleta, the hotel is located in the most refined part of town and is perfectly placed for those planning to go to the opera at Teatro Colon
The Duhau Restaurant & Vinoteca offers one of Recoleta’s premier culinary experiences, with steak at the fore and a wine list 500 bottles strong
Situated in the heart of Buenos Aires, in the elegant Recoleta neighbourhood, Palacio Duhau is within walking distance of many fine art galleries, boutiques and pavement cafes. This luxury hotel perfectly blends stylish architecture from the original 1932 French Duhau Palace with more recently built modern sections, all designed with comfort in mind.
The hotel is divided into two distinct sections, the modern wing containing 142 contemporary rooms that often feature views of the stunning palace building. Across the lush interior garden but also connected by interior hallways, the Palacio wing contains just 23 exclusive suites, as well as the beautiful shared spaces of the property.
The hotel features 11 categories of spacious and luxurious rooms and suites. Rooms come equipped with all of the modern amenities which one requires; from Wi-Fi internet access to butler room service. The contemporary décor and excellent service are complemented by those little extra touches such as Celedonio Loothidoy spa products, just to make your stay feel that extra bit special. The top suites located in the Palacio Wing come complete with Persian carpets, silk curtains, walk-in showers and private terraces.
Palacio Duhau features Paseo de las Artes, the hotel’s very own art gallery which showcases a carefully selected portfolio of paintings and sculptures from some of the most gifted Latin American artists. Also at your service is one of Buenos Aires’ top spas, an Ahin Spa providing rejuvenation for the body, mind and soul with its fantastic range of treatments. Alternatively one can just relax by the heated indoor pool or bask in the sun in the beautiful gardens.
The food and wine on offer at Palacio Duhau's three restaurants is of an exceptionally high standard. Dine on sophisticated Argentinian cuisine in the Duhau restaurant or take afternoon tea in the Los Salones lounge overlooking the gardens. There is an excellent wine cellar featuring superb vintages from both the best local and international wine houses, as well as a unique chilled cheese cellar and a wood clad vintage bar and smoking lounge that will make you feel like you are stepping back in time to a bygone era.
When to visit
As a special treat we suggest visiting the hotel's Vinoteca & Cheese Room, offering fine Argentinian Malbecs and regional cheeses selected by the Maître Fromager. Totally over the top and fantastic!
