The chic boutique Bahia Vik opened in November 2014 and is set in ten acres of sand dunes on Playa Mansa beach on the Jose Ignacio Peninsula to the south of Punta del Este.
Bahia Vik has ten beautiful suites and eleven large freestanding two and three bedroom bungalows featuring striking exteriors, art-filled interiors and a unique design scheme. The uniquely designed bungalows and suites are beautifully furnished with Uruguayan grey slate and modern open plan design. All the rooms showcase individual artworks by Uruguayan and international artists and have private terraces overlooking the dunes, beach and ocean.
There is an expansive outdoor terrace by the pool, an indoor dining room and an open-air patio where guests can savor delicious fresh seafood and a traditional Uruguayan barbecues. The beach front restaurant La Susana is fast becoming an institution and is a fabulous spot for a long lunch or post-cocktail dinner. In the main building there is a large games room, small boutique and a gym and spa.
