Rayavadee Krabi

Located on the breathtaking Phra Nang headland and surrounded by three beautiful beaches and spectacular limestone cliffs, the Rayavadee almost resembles a village. It is set in 26 acres of coconut groves overlooking the Andaman Sea and surrounded by dramatic limestone karst cliffs and islands with the pavilions dotted around the grounds.

Rayavadee has 98 uniquely designed circular pavilions with one or two bedrooms plus spacious living areas and four beachfront villas with either garden or mountain views. All are luxuriously appointed and furnished in an elegant Thai style with polished woods, richly colored fabrics and hand crafted details. Bedroom and bathroom are located on the upper floor while the living area is on the ground floor. Each pavilion has its own little garden, some of which have small pools.

Rayavadee has four restaurants with different menu styles, offering international dishes and Thai specialities, there are also other bars and restaurants just a short stroll down the beach. The Grotto is the most well known with its setting half in a cave with views out to sea. The spa offers an extensive range of treatments, massages and therapies to take into a world of peace and relaxation. The main infinity pool is also a scenic place to while away some time taking in tropical vistas which surround you, and provides a relaxing escape from the beach which can get quite busy with day trippers.

Rayavadee provides a range of non-motorised water sports in its surrounding crystal clear waters in addition to rock climbing, exploring uninhabited islands in the marine reserve and treks in the lush forested interior. The rich marine life and variety of tropical fish provides some great diving and snorkeling opportunities. There are several attractions nearby for you to venture out to explore. The lovely island of Phi Phi is just a 35-minute speed boat ride away as are Poda, Chicken, Tub and Hong Islands which have some fantastic beaches and fascinating rock formations.

Just a forewarning, the departure pier from the mainland is not the most scenic and nor is the arrival beach but don't be disheartened because as soon as you are welcomed into the resort and see the other beaches and the dramatic scenery you will soon forget about it! Also the beach can get busy during the day with day trippers, the best way to avoid this is to head on day trips yourself or go to the beach early or late and spend some time by the quieter area of the pool during busy beach times.
