At a Glance
The route back to Muscat takes you along the Eastern Coastal Route. This drive is approximately 4.5 hours and will include breaks to stop at points of interest along the way, such as traditional dhow yards and for a swim at the famous Bimmah sink hole. Finally, you arrive back in Muscat, for your final two nights in Oman. Relax and unwind, maybe pamper yourself with a treatment at the spa or lie on the beach with a good book. If you are still looking for more, we have included a two-hour snorkeling trip to examine the fantastic range of corals just off the coast, where you will also find beautiful fish and turtles.

The best time to visit Oman is between November and mid-March, when the cooler air brings the mountain scenery sharply into focus and daytime temperatures average at 25°C. For the rest of the year, much of Oman is oppressively hot and hazy, particularly between May and August.
