Under Skeiðarárjökull’s icy surface is the Blue Dragon ice cave, named for the striking scale-like formations that adorn its frozen walls. Due to the cave’s remote location, it was only recently discovered and very few visitors have set foot inside. After landing on the glacier, take a short walk to the mouth of this secret glacier ice cave with your guide and explore its icy interior, taking in striking aquamarine hues and hearing more about the cave’s geography from your guide.
