Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Orange County's stylish Laguna Beach midway between Los Angeles and San Diego. With a Forbes 5 star rating, the Montage is the epitome of sophisticated charm and attentiveness.
The Montage's 250 rooms and suites offer turn-of-the-century décor with soft colours, dark wood and Early California artwork. Fine touches include feather top beds with 400-thread-count bed linens and goose down pillows, a private ocean-view balcony or patio, luxurious terry towels, plush robes, and a 5-fixture marble bath with large shower and deep soak tub. Internet access, flat-screen television, and DVD/CD players all ensure that rooms are technically wired to meet all needs.
The Studio, the Montage's signature restaurant, is a light, art-filled room with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Mediterranean landscape, and offers classic French cuisine with Californian touches under Head Chef Craig Strong, and there are more than 2,000 wine labels from which to choose. Outside of the Montage, Laguna Beach offers great dining options among them 230 Forest, Alessa, Broadway and Mastro’s Ocean Club.
Opportunities abound for guests to take in the breathtaking setting, which includes four pristine white sand beaches, 30 acres of lush landscaping, an impeccably manicured park overlooking the ocean, and marine tide pools. Three sparkling swimming pools include the oceanfront mosaic-tiled, infinity-edged pool, a Spa Montage lap pool, and a children's pool.
At the spa, you can re-connect with yourself through the ocean's bounty, and mineral-rich seaweed and salt infusions are used to infuse botanical treatment products with elements the body lacks to renew, refresh and boost the body's immune system.
At Paintbox, Montage's excellent children's club, younger guests (ages 5-12) can enjoy outdoor adventures, as well as games and arts and crafts. Beach-oriented activities include snorkelling, ocean kayaking, surfing, and beach volleyball. You can also explore the adjacent coves and tide pools to discover the unique marine life, while further out you may be lucky enough to see dolphins and whales. Children and teenagers can check in for a half or full day of fun with the Paintbox team.
