Costa Rica
Famed for its relaxed and happy approach to life (encompassed by the pura vida national motto), Costa Rica is a fantastic choice for LGBTQ+ families. It was the first country in Central America to recognise same-sex marriage and also removed gender from ID cards in 2018.
