North of the Mara River lies the Lamai Wedge, rolling savannah contrasts with rock-strewn hillsides and giant fig-tree groves. Serian's Serengeti North lies in a hidden valley of the Wogakuria. Where the swaying seas of grass are open to the lake basin skies, framed in the north by a range of distinctive inselbergs.
This little-known area in northern Serengeti full of secret valleys and ranging hills, has the Mara river running through it. The Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya lies close by across the border. Kogatende also known as Wogakuria offers great quality game viewing, but without the crowds! The migration passes through from June to November, this is the most exciting time! With immense panoramic river crossings, you witness crocodiles gorging themselves, whilst indulgent lion, cheetah and leopard pursue and delight in the smorgasbord of nomadic mega herds.
