Located in Bruwer Valley, Loapi invites deep engagement with the southern Kalahari in all its unfettered, changeable beauty. Offering a private wilderness experience, Loapi is a collection of six exclusive-use safari homes with expansive views of Tswalu's arid savannah plains and the distant Korannaberg mountains. Loapi means ‘the space below the clouds’ in Setswana, perfectly reflecting the camp's environmentally sensitive, modular design that combines canvas, glass and steel. Each one- or two-bedroom home features quietly luxurious sculptural interiors enriched by nature’s colours, forms and shapes, optimising the sense of space while evoking the carefree, nomadic spirit of camping. Each home is managed by a dedicated homathi (house manager) and chef, ensuring the highest level of personalised service. As with Tswalu's other luxury camps, every booking includes a private safari vehicle, as well as a dedicated guide and tracker.

Hot air ballooning at sunset is still a highlight after many trips to Africa. The Kalahari is spectacularly beautiful from the ground but from the air you can see herds of eland and game trails. Watch the sun disappear behind the mountains and turn the already red soil different shades of crimson.
