The luxurious Raffles Hotel Singapore is an iconic landmark of Singapore's colonial past. Its unwavering service and excellence has been legendary for 120 years and it is a fabulous historical and indulgent place to stay.
Highlights
The Singapore Sling was developed in the Long Bar in 1915 and is a must-try – either request one from your butler or head down to the buzzy bar to enjoy this celebrated classic
Raffles has its own Resident Historian – Leslie Danker has been with the hotel for almost 40 years, and even has a book to his name - Memoires of a Raffles Original
Named after Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore, Raffles was built in 1887 and is one of a kind, steeped in history and colonial glamour.
The story begins at the door - Raffles’ fabulous doormen, Narajan, Swaran and Sarjit, greet their guests in true Raffles style – their distinctive uniforms are from Gieves and Hawkes – and big, genuine smiles of welcome
Raffles is located in the colonial core of Singapore and has long been famous for its architecture, decadence and history. Restored in 1991 to the style to which it was once accustomed, Raffles is set in lush tropical gardens and has 115 opulent suites each with its own spacious parlour, bedroom and luxurious dressing area.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink including the legendary 'Long Bar' - home to the Singapore Sling and the The Grand Lobby where traditional afternoon tea can be enjoyed. With fifteen venues for dining, whether you feel like Chinese, Japanese, Indian, a champagne brunch or billiards and beer, Raffles has the highest standards of cuisine and the loveliest venues in which to enjoy it.
A rooftop swimming pool in a lush garden setting provides yet another excuse for decadent relaxation and the exclusive sanctuary of the Raffles Spa has a delectable menu of wraps, scrubs, massages, facials and more to rejuvenate even the most weary of travellers. The Raffles Arcade adjoins the hotel and provides a theatre, restaurants, a museum and numerous exclusive shops.
