When is the best time to go to Peru?

The seasons in Peru are the opposite of those in the UK, which means that spring and summer occur during the UK's autumn and winter. However, Peru also has wet and dry seasons. The dry season typically runs from May to October and is the most popular time for visitors. The rainy months coincide with Peru's summer, running from December to February. The highest chance of rain is in January and February, so it's usually quieter during this time of year.

We know you want a trip that you'll remember forever. While there are plenty of opportunities to take a Peru tour throughout the year, there are some months that might be especially appealing. April and May, for instance, are just out of the rainy season and usually quieter. The crowds also disappear in October and November as the rainy season approaches.
