The ideal finish to an exciting itinerary around Rajasthan, enjoy pure tranquillity by the pool, spa or on gentle walks around the countryside
For the most discerning guests requiring ultimate privacy, we recommend taking one of Amanbagh’s exclusive pavilions during your stay.
A private dinner at their offsite Chhatri is a must during your stay. Accompanied by a chef, musician and waitstaff guests can enjoy an exclusive candlelit dinner under the stars.
Easily accessible from Jaipur and approximately 5 hours from Delhi, Amanbagh serves equally well as a fly-and-flop destination for those looking for a relaxing retreat with the opportunity to experience Rajasthan’s unique culture.
Amanbagh is a remote rural property situated in an oasis of greenery that is in stark contrast to the arid plains and craggy hills which surround it. Amanbagh lies within a walled compound once used by the Maharajah of Alwar as one of the sites for his mobile hunting camps which used to come in search of the elusive tigers known to roam the nearby hills not so long ago.
The resort style echoes the region’s Mughul architecture and in this respect is a modern day Mughul Palace conceived in the present but paying homage to the architecture and design of India’s golden age. Staying in this property provides a very unique opportunity to witness first hand the traditions and culture of rural India.
There are 15 Pool Pavilions and 22 Havelis. Pool Pavilions are set around the perimeter of the resort, each with their own private pool and garden. The Havelis are set amongst the date and mango trees with their own private courtyard, garden or balcony. All suites feature a large bathtub carved from Udaipur green marble and are fitted with Bose sound systems and a personal bar.
As well as a large swimming pool, Aman Spa, informal dining area and wading pool, there is a well-stocked library and a roof terrace elevated above a canopy of trees, which has fabulous views over the surrounding countryside.
The hotel can also organise a multitude of activities in the surrounding countryside including visits to forts, temples and villages, yoga and meditation by a lake, private dinners and even a ‘Sunset Cow Dust Tour’.
