Amankora Gangtey is located in the Phobjikha Valley in Bhutan, a glacial valley that has been virtually untouched by modern civilisation. The region has some great day treks and is an ideal bridge point between Amankora Punakha and Amankora Bumthang.
Highlights
You cannot escape the Bhudist culture and one thing which is up there on our suggestions is to join the monks for either an evening or morning pray.
Sharpen up on you knowledge of Buddhism in the peaceful library, here read about local folklore, textiles and the stories of the epic mountain range.
Cannot not mention the spa in this property and we especially love the candlelit hot stone bath which takes in once again, those views.
Views for miles is the perfect sum up for this property. you can see straight through the valley, which are perfectly positioned on either side of the property.
When to visit
If you plan to do day walks we really do suggest bringing good walking shoes as Bhutan is prone to rain storms which make the paths muddy and difficult to walk on. Luckily the hotel are amazing at washing them every night!
