Spend the day exploring Thailand and Myanmar with an experienced guide. First you will head to Myanmar and Tha Khi Lek where you will travel by tuk tuk stopping off at a local food market full of exotic and delicious fresh food. Visit the Shwedagon Pagoda where you can make temple offerings and take in the incredible mountain views.
Next to Chiang Saen in Thailand to explore the ancient Lanna Kingdom capital. Find the ruins of defensive walls and places of worship which tell a tale of this historic town’s rise and fall. Next cruise along the Mekong by longtail boat heading directly across the river to skirt the Laos bank. If that isn't enough, there is the option to visit Don Sao Island in Laos. A loophole in the immigration law allows you to visit without visa formalities. Browse the small market and enjoy opportunities to buy handicrafts made by local artisans, sample some rice whisky and the famous Beer Laos.
Please remember to bring your passport. The Hotel will prepare a gourmet picnic lunch hamper to enjoy during your tour. Should you wish to ensure a private excursion a THB 3,000 surcharge will apply. Be ensured that your expert guide will take care of immigration, provide language assistance and help you purchase souvenirs at the best local prices.
